A New MCP Benefit

Another Great Reason to be an MCP

We'd like to think that a large number of our audience is certified by Microsoft at least as an MCP. Even that a large number of the development or operational teams that many of you work on is certified as well. Most you of you probably became certified primarily to meet some employment criteria or to assist you with obtaining a job. And hopefully it helped you.

If you've been certified at any higher level (MCSE, MCSD, MCDBA, etc), there used to be some great benefits like a free year of Technet and more, back before the highly connected Internet-age. However, now most of the benefits are intangible (bragging rights) or discounts to various programs.

We've just worked out a deal with Microsoft to add another benefit to the list. In addition to Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine, MCPs now receive the electronic version of our magazine, The SQL Server Standard, for free!!! Published every other month, we've been very proud and excited about this new deal with Microsoft for all you MCPs out there.

So tell your friends, other DBAs and Developers, even the sysadmins you know and get them to download this great resource. Tell them to register on this site for the newsletter and get informed of when new issues are released or sign up for the MCP Flash to get the announcements every other month.

Thanks for your support in making this a great community and extending it to others.
