Have you tried checking if there is a default or FK bound? Cascading updates?

EM will run onn 1433, but also uses 435 or 433 or something like that. I caught this on my personal firewall at home.

Haven't done much work on OLAP, but most logins raise an event. I'd guess there is an alert set on the server.
