Anyone have a polite way of telling someone to learn how to debug their own code?I'm trying to help, but any time I try to write something about doing their own debugging at the moment it seems a bit caustic to me so I don't post it.
Send your caustic comment to me...I can post it:-D

How the .... did this person get a job in IT?????The force in this one is not only weak, I think it is nonexistant.
Same guy that wanted to know where the "go faster" switch was located.

I have to say, jokes aside, I'm impressed with the group's psychic abilities, to be able to help someone with so little to work with. I think I've been giving you all too much information when I get stuck.:-D

exec sp_configure 'Run SQL Faster',1
Wow! Thanks Gail, I'm trying immediately on my production server. :hehe:
Would you also recommend (as a fellow expert) turning on these switches?
exec sp_configure 'Auto Pilot',1
exec sp_configure 'AI mode',1
Actually, I like to find the speed dial on the side of the Box, and then paint an eleven over then ten. 😀

The preferred method I use - see if the bios is overclockable. Everything on the server can run faster.
A bit riskier than the paint method. But no visible signs of the system modification.

I just checked the guy's posting history. He's asked questions like, "How do I move a file at the OS level?"
I'm guessing he got trapped in an IT job by way of, "he knows how to do computer stuff".
