This isn't the right thread for technical questions. I'd move it to one of the usual forums.
No.... that's just what they'll be expecting us to do..... :smooooth:
Gus has already mentioned that he did not pay full attention towards the post.
It's understandable, considering the position Gus is in.
All the Best Gus ! I hope a better and bigger opportunity is waiting for you. 🙂 🙂
Humour, Bru, Humour. 😉

I thought it was Lloyd Bridges.
Bru: Lynn is correct.
If I post something that seems odd, assume that I'm attempting to make a (usually dumb) joke. 😉

I'm pretty sure that particular line was Shatner's. He's the commander on the moon base, and plays a spoof of himself. Does a great job of it. They make sshh noises at the doors to get them to open.

No problem, we've all done it at one time or another. I just don't plan on going back through The Thread for a example where I did it too.

Hey guys, this user needs help in solving the issue. It's been 2 days since he posted and no good.http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic827900-357-1.aspx#bm827908
I've pinged Paul R and asked if he'll take a look.

Not helped by someone who doesn't appear to know the difference between an operating system kill process and a SQL level kill session.....
Is it me, or has the person mentioned above posted more than his fair share of bad advice with complete confidence? iirc he was the one recommending the mirror drop, switch to simple, switch to full, recreate mirroring to truncate a transaction log a couple weeks back.

Now that I read it again, it's a 2-for-1.
As you have Replication setup, you can failover to other server database and then restart the service.
When did replication gain a failover option? Is this a new R2 feature?

I am not sure about you OS.
Does SQL Server supports any other OS other than Windows Server?
