    Phil / Bitbucket,

I appreciate both you helping make the transition from SQL Server 2000.

I will get the SQL Server 2005 developer edition today.

Sometime down the road I will...

    Thanks BitBucket,

I've never heard of SQL Server Developer and I need to look into that. If I can't develop DTS packages (through this legacy link) in SQL Server Express...

    Phil,

That would be an awesome idea. I could still "develop" DTS packages but using SQL Server Express Edition.

The only problem is that I tried what you said. I...

    Awesome!!

That is exactly what I needed. Hopefully these tools allow you not only read legacy DTS packages, but actually create new ones.

  • RE: Get email attachment and insert into a table?

    Hi,

    Thanks for both responses.

However, I didn't really get a direction from either. I probably need to ask a question or two.

    1) I looked at some articles about .NET...

  • RE: Documenting DTS package?

    Well thanks for the answer.

I was hoping to do a quick query!  At least, I can saying I am learning more and more about writing DTS packages.

    I need to create...

  • RE: T-SQL: Truncate Table ?!

    Thanks everyone.

Just when you think you've got it down pretty well...you learn something new.  I thought I knew T-SQL pretty well and have used Truncate a lot.

  • RE: Query to create batch numbers?

Excellent point and that is what I did.  I add some more zeros after "us" as part of the formula.  I now have "us" plus up to 900,000 batches.

Thanks for pointing me in the...

Thanks Lowell for your help.  My batch numbers aren't arbitrary, but rather sequential.

    Scott & PW,

Thanks for the replies.  That is what I was looking for.  It seems to me that where plausible, you use T-SQL.  I can think of times where ActiveX...
