You have the profiler traces and execution plan but I always used profiler, it is best to run it in a test because it takes a lot of resources.

The 32-bit version of the Odbcad32.exe file is located in the %systemdrive%\Windows\SysWoW64 folder

In SQL Server 2005 SSRS production require at least Sp2 since 2007 so you need to run SP3 on both server.

I think Vista and Win2008 comes with permissions and other base requirments like ports during the installation. I have not tried it but check the link below.
