Are the posted questions getting worse?

Jeff, I just read your comment about the MS 70-433 book. I happy I did not order the MS one.

Now if that other 70-433 book would just get here!!! Mailman must be a slow reader.

I must have missed that article - what 'other' 70-433 book are you referring to? I have the MS version and I feel more like a proof-reader than someone attempting to study from it; typos galore.

    This other book:

The Real MCTS SQL Server 2008 Exam 70-433 Prep Kit: Database Design

I usually never unsubscribe from any threads, but I did from that one. Couldn't take it anymore.

Reading that certification thread when you already have a headache - just makes matters worse.

After skimming through it, paying a bit more attention to the posts from you-know-who, I would have to suggest that any further pain resulting from interaction with that particular human could be considered self-inflicted. At least a couple of times, she posted a typically brief (though not concise, which is one major difference between her style and "Broadcast Journalism English") response, and closed with a dismissive "Have a nice day".

After the second such supercillious remark, I would think it entirely appropriate to ignore any of her further attempts to stir things up.

I think there is some usefulness in the discussion by the majority of the cast there. And it is those pieces that makes that thread good. When she corrupts the thread (no we don't have a good backup either) - it just sends us into a tailspin.

    Wake up Jason!!!

We don't need a good backup. We's got DBCC TimeWarp!!!! 😛

I'm very much in agreement with you John. I think that everyone needs to just ignore her posts.

That being said, on my way home tonight, I was wondering if it's possible to set up a private, only invited guests type of thread... but you never know what nugget someone not invited would give that would make all the difference. So, just ignore. If you don't respond to her, she'll eventually go away.

The part that was annoying to me was the persistent lack of respect and "show me your credentials." As if none of us were qualified to speak to her about the topic. Don't treat people, that I respect, like a bunch of hooligans that deserve no respect.

I only partially agree there. I am probably in a losing battle with this. But I want to hear if she has something constructive to say. She throws crap out and when you disprove it, she changes the crap launcher to a different story. I think she is running out of it. And I am curious, does anybody recall an intent to racially discriminate or discriminate based on gender from anybody other than her?
