I know enough about basketball to teach kids to dribble, pass, and shoot. Tactics, maybe man-to-man defense at a limited level.

I can play pick-up basketball when the body is able.

Beyond that, I don't even watch it. I have been to a couple AFA games when I got free tickets.

I'd go to the Globetrotters, other than that, I'd probably hock the tickets. To my family, 'cause they're all sports nuts.

Actually, it was a couple of free tickets that my oldest daughters had to an AFA Basketball game that got them hooked on AFA Hockey. Those tickets also got them entry to an AFA Hockey game that was played after the AFA Basketball game.

wow, how long did it take them to flood the court and freeze the water?:hehe:

This is CO, we play basketball on the ice!

  • Lynn,

I think you need to ignore the posts that aren't on topic in the cert thread. Just skip them like they are not present.

I wish I had an invisibility button for some posts.

I personally believe that politicians today have lost touch with those the purport to represent. All they are truly interested in is getting elected and staying elected. And telling us what is best for us.

The marvelous thing about the way things are set up in the US. Every two years we can have a peaceful revolution and change things... if we take advantage of it.

As for basketball... I'll stick with the Harlem Globetrotters (saw them a couple of times when I was a kid and loved it). Although, when I think of basketball, I am reminded of the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Airplane. Hilarious scenes, but then, the whole movie is hilarious, though I think the best scene for irony is Mrs. Cleaver talking jive and swearing, complete with subtitles.

That explains why Col State and AFA are so bad. How did the Nuggets ever manage to get better with the ice problem? Do they wear cleats?

No time at all. They are next to each other in the Cadet Field House. There is also an indoor track area.

How about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar facing off against Bruce Lee?? Know that was interesting!

I've been using Gmail for at least 5 years now. I delete very few emails. SCC notification I do delete. My mailbox is only 9% full.

Same here, but I never delete the notifications...mailbox is 2% full.

Conversation grouping really takes the sting out of Thread notifications.

  • Think she'll catch the reference to Kelly's Heros?

  • Jack Corbett (3/26/2010)

I've been tempted to post there, but it won't make anyone look good.

    Agreed 100%.

I also don' think anybody really cares about my political views.

    Aw :crying:

No, no, no. You really should take a look at what we are trying to do now at the end of this thread.

Hijacking the quote. Actually Jack, I do care about your political views. They are yours, and even if I disagree with you on something, that's fine.

Think she'll catch the reference to Kelly's Heroes?

Wasn't Oddball the one that complained about 'all the negative waves, man?'

I forget who was being negative in the film.

    [edit]

    Moriarty!

Oddball: Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?

Oddball: "Don't hit me with them negative waves so early in the morning.

Always with the negative waves Moriarty, ALWAYS with the negative waves!
