My reply to that would be "We are a school district, we can't even afford to spell ORACLE, let alone run it." πooh, that's not going to help your test scores if your kids can't spell O-R-A-C-L-E... :hehe:
Good thing it IS the kids that get tested and not us. They, at least, CAN spell O-R-A-C-L-E.

If you need anybody to review...
Thanks very much, that's very kind of you! π
I hoping to have it finished tomorrow and would appreciate reviews from anyone interested.
Without giving too much away, you'll need access to a 2008 server (any edition).
A bit of C# knowledge, T-SQL expertise, and general proof-reading skills are all of great interest!
Please drop me an email* if this interests you, and I'll send a copy of the article as soon as π

edit: various clarifications, removed the AdventureWorks database requirement.

Totally different subject UNRELATED to questions getting worse. Last week I started working on setting up linked servers on our new blade servers (x64) under SQL Server 2008 EE. One of the servers needs to link to a MySQL database. Okay, no problem, download the 5.01 driver, install it, and setup the Linked Server. PeopleSoft Admin tries creating one of the views used to access data from teh MySQL Database, error....
I know very little about MySQL, but I did get a linked server up. We're on 2K5, so there will be some differences, but I can give you the settings we had to use on the linked server if that helps. I'm reading into your post a little, but it sounds like you had the LS working before and just set it up anew, so my help is probably worthless and completely unrelated, but I thought I'd offer since we just went through it a few months ago.
