Work, work, lots of work. I'm barely posting at all these days either.
Ditto. I also just registered to take 70-432 TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Implementation and Maintenance so I'll be working on that. Any preparation suggestions?

MS Courseware, and lot's of practice. I don't think you should stress too heavily over it though - you know your stuff.
I've been thinking about renewing my certs (from 2000 to 2008). Let us know how it goes, and maybe I will follow suit if you have a good experience with it.

Oh, there is a way to update the system tables in SQL Server 2005, here's how. Let us know if it works for you. No warning about NOT doing it. Great Advice, heh?

I guess the OP doesn't know he's supposed to used the hidden stored procedure for doing that.

For those not convinced that The Thread is alive, consider:
early last year I casually mentioned that I had not had a car accident in a while, went to lunch, and somebody ran into me in the parking lot.
Now, after all of Steve's laptop troubles, over the weekend my wife's Toshiba laptop quit working, and system repair won't recognize the hard disk to repair it. Not sure what happened, and I'm not really very good at fixing this stuff yet (which she totally doesn't get - "I thought you were a computer guy...." etc)
O Thread, what have I done to deserve your wrath? :hehe:

... and my laptop is sitting at home turn on. One good thing though. I do not have the Thread open.
If I get home tonight and my laptop is messed up, I'm gonna email Steve and request that the Thread be renamed to HAL.
