I just assumed neither statement applied to me. The first because of "fellow" and the second because of "newbies".

I thought he said "Newfies".... and was talking about Alvin! 😛

By the way, Steve, I ready the journey/destination reply and thought it was brilliant.

I'm not a Newfie!!! I'm from Nova Scotia. There's big difference between the 2. 😀

And now for something completely different, a coworker, non-DBA, forwarded me this link. I thought it was a hilarious Dilbert: http://www.dilbert.com/strips/comic/2009-11-01/%5B/url%5D

    Edit: Fixed hyperlink

Yeah, I liked that one too.

  • I'm not a Newfie!!! I'm from Nova Scotia.

Doesn't Newfoundland have it's own time zone?

It's 27.5 minutes ahead of Nova Scotia or something like that.

It's 30 minutes ahead, well, so they think. A TV show starting at 8:00 in NS starts at 8:30 in Newfoundland, so we like to say they're 30 minutes behind.

Wrong question, Alvin, it's not Grant you have to worry about. The question you should be asking is, "does someone who asks a question like that know the difference?" :w00t:
