Are the posted questions getting worse?

Ah, well. I'm sure I screwed the pooch on some of those questions, but here's my launch buddy link. Anyone care to click for me?

I need to figure out how to get mine...

    ...edit: oh yeah, clicked. 😉

I hate to interrupt a bit of DBA baiting but anyone using IE9?

Any usage or upgrade issues? I'm an old fuddy duddy still on vista.

I am, no real issues. And I'm using it on Vista.

  • I believe there is a lunar eclipse thie Friday that will be visible in S. Africa, in case anyone is there and interested in such things.

There will be another on 12/10 in most of the world except for S. America.

Actually, now that I think about it more, there is one problem that I'm having with it. I can't always see gif-sets on Tumblr. I will probably download Firefox to get around that. Currently I just click through to the source, then I can see it.

Hey, for those not on Twitter (why aren't you). My dad passed away early this morning. Not unexpected. I blogged about it, http://t.co/hCjjRnRh if you are interested in how I feel about it.

Sorry to hear about that, Jack. It sounds like you're weathering out the storm, though. Keep the shiney side up and I wish you and your's well.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

Thanks for sharing this... sure hits a cord with me atm.

BTW my father had his 3rd stroke yesterday (2nd in 2 weeks). This time he's not getting out of the hospital (we won't let him / them).

Should be operated this wednesday if nothing prevents teh surgury (might have inflamation in the heart which would delay it).

I didn't even think of that.

Praying that the surgery can happen and that there are no complications/issues. Sounds like he needs it a couple of weeks ago.

18 months ago would be accurate. That was the first warning. Then another one 2-3 weeks ago.

Now this one just can't be ignored:exclamation:

From what we know so far, it's the pig's valve that's breaking apart piece by piece. Going to his eyes and losing the vision (60% blind atm).

    It's only a best guess.

Anywho, this needs to be fixed last week at the latest.!

Dang! Jack's Dad. Your Dad. My favorite Aunt passed away last week. I hope your Dad gets better, Remi. We don't need this type of "hat trick".

Thanx all again for the support.

The good news is that we got an O.R. this thursday. He's not getting out untill then so all's good, or as good as can be!

  • Thanks Jon and Kit. They'll be good days and bad over the next couple of months, but most will be good days.

  • Had a great time speaking at Seacoast SQL User Group here in NH. Small group tonight, but lots of good questions and a fun group.
