Are the posted questions getting worse?

Remi, I'd say you need a hobby, but apparently you already had one... Poor Lowell.

What will Lowell ever do with himself now?! Shame on you, Remi. You've stolen his dreams... his heart... his kindness... Now he's Celko.

    Ouch:crying:

Actually I have 2, but the other doesn't matter, too much, here expect for better agility and faster processing!

I'm sure he'll be fine, just look as his face.

And no I didn't mean to put an hex on Lowell... just had to clarify to picture :-D.

Question for those that blog (preferably with WordPress) and post code on their blog - what code syntax tool do you use? I'm using WP-SynHighlight, but I'm not completely happy with it - I'd like to find something else before there are too many blogs out there to redo with a different tool.

    Thanks!

(Edit: 72 to go to 30000!)

I'm hosted on wordpress.com and there you can only have [sourcecode language="sql"] + various switches.

It's not bad, what exactly doesn't fit your needs?

They are all minor, nit-picking issues:

    1. Can't set the default language to T-SQL (it's always PHP)

    2. I'd like to have a "Copy code to clipboard" feature.

    3. I'd like to have something for quoted text - what I'm doing now is putting it in italics.

    4. I like to show result sets as text vs. screen shots where possible - there is nothing to display that nicely.

I usually just use the BLOCKQUOTE tag. I need to play with changing the CSS, but it works ok for now.

  • So commenting for loops should now read:

-- No baby has been harmed in this loop. (But we did feed the baby Fruit Loops.) 😀

We just need to be careful: once we're short on apostrophes, quite a few letters (including the "blank") will be in highe demand, too. (It's vs. it is not, won't vs. will not a.s.o.).

Maybe then fantasy and sci-fi authors will stop inflicting things like B'Z'or'ef, K'chak'!'op and Ph'nglui Mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh on us.

Edit: spelling corrected in sig just for Remi (no-one else would notice the error): z -> s.

I did say spelling corrected. Not punctuation. 😉

Or does that "-" count as spelling? In the singular it's "-t-" and I hate the idea of conjugated punctuation , but maybe not as much as I hate the thought of a character which is not in the alphabet and comes between words and not in them being spelling rather than punctuation. But then in the singular it has a "t" in it - so pehaps it's spelling in the singular and punctuation in the plural? :w00t: Ils sont fous ces RomainsFrançais!

Actually, I don't really mind if French has conjugated punctuation, as long as no-one tries to do it to Gàidhlig. 😛

You just have to link the t to the next vowel in that context.

Also Pourquoi is a single word.

And it's spelling its spelling (and yes I know I'm not to one to talk on that one!).
