A plea for assistance, from the denizens of the thread.QOD - easy enough to display the page to create and submit etc., etc.
When the submittal page displays mine always shows at least 3 possible answers, and 3 check boxes. For as many QODs that I have submitted, my brain refuses to recall how to:
Convert the form to accept or to have just 2 options buttons. All I need to have as possible answers is "Yes", "No".
Any assistance will be deeply appreciated.
Fill in just those two choices.
Tried your instruction ... click on save ... and it displays in red a message to add an additional answer.
Yuck
Wayne Thanks - finally woke up after 3rd cup of coffee.
1. Filled in the two choices.
2. On 3 rd window for possible answer - to the right of that window clicked on "delete", happy days it reomoved the box for the 3rd answer and allowed the entry to be submitted.
Oh yeah...
Which means... RTFM?
Glad you figured it out.
Another thanks at 12:21 PM today received notification that it would be published on June 27th ... WHOOPEE

Just got a PM and a mail asking for some free consulting. I sympathise with people in tough situations, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to give telephonic support for free. π

I shouldn't, but I feel bad when I turn those down too. I still turn them down.

If it would be a tough situation, there would be money available for a solution (with the exception of non-profit organizations, I guess).

From what I could gather, management expects the employee to be able to do the work, he can't, doesn't want to admit that, wants help quietly.

Is it bad that my first reaction to that is "I guess the wolves will eat well, soon."?

Even non-profit can come up with pretty big chunks of cash if the need is there. I've been with a non-profit for 4 years and we've spent more on IT than in my last for-profit position.

And the employee isn't able to grab books and the internet and get up to speed?

Depends on where he's at. If he just needed to learn the output clause or FILESTREAM, most likely. An end to end upgrade on his level and ability? That's not a week or two kind of thing.

They've been referred to my articles over at simple talk, Grant's book. Still performance tuning is not something you can master in a day, and from the looks of the forum posts, the server's in a bad way.
Not a fun situation

Yuk - that's when the employer will find out what kind of employee they have. If the employee can buck up and start cranking away - great.
