Remove Exec Permissions To Extended Stored Procs

I created this script to simplify the process of restricting access to high risk extended stored procedures. It will find any user or role which has execute permissions on any of the stored procedures in the "#High_Risk_Stored_Procs" temp table and will generate the relevant revoke statements to remove those permissions.The current list of stored procedures […]

This test evaluates the sum of each number multiplied by the position the number appears in the accountnumber. If the modulos of the sum divided by 11 is zero then the accountnumber is valid. The length of a bankaccountnumber in […]

Question of the Day

Using CHOOSE()

We have this code that sets some status values and then queries them using the CHOOSE() function in SQL Server 2025.

CREATE TABLE Status
(
    StatusID INT,
    StatusDescription VARCHAR(20)
);
GO
INSERT dbo.Status
(
    StatusID,
    StatusDescription
)
VALUES
(0, 'Uncategorized'),
(1, 'Active'),
(2, 'Inactive'),
(3, 'Temp');

GO
SELECT CHOOSE(StatusID, 'Unknown', 'Active', 'Inactive', 'Temporary')
FROM Status;
When the SELECT runs, what is returned?
