One more thing I found: The SQL login works when I remote to the SQL host and log in locally. So it is something that happens for external connections.

Note that packages are neither 32- nor 64-bit. But they can be run in 32- or 64-bit mode. A bit like Word really - a .docx is a .docx.

What do you mean "the job history says the job is running." The jobhistory never shows that, it only show the past history.
