The IP address is a field in the IP8, IP5 sections. If it's a large HEX address, it's an IPv6 address. IPv4 ones are shown as the normal 192.168.0.10 nomenclature.

I would say no. Talk to MS. Patches are specific to versions and the R2 versions are completely separate versions.

I think so. Test it first on a backup, but all of my schemas like that are owned by themselves.

I agree with Howard that it sounds like a network issue. The first errors still could be a security issue of some sort.
Is there a USB HDD around? A 500GB...

I say 'rather crippled' because every programmer can give you plenty examples about the impedance mismatch between object-oriented and relational data models. DBA's should act a lot more...
