You should never do this. You should create a role and assign permissions to the role, then assign users to the role.

I'm always wary of these products. I don't mind them grabbing the disk backup files, but I don't know I'd trust them if I had a disaster.

you can set a unique index, but that only prevents it, it doesn't help the users.
I'd turn identity on, and not worry about gaps in the sequence.
