The table holds ID numbers for items. These numbers are issued by the state and have legal ties to them. When a user initiates a new item, it goes out...

Here is the error I get when I try to run the DTS job

Error string:  The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file

'\\abc123\d$\mdb\WVL2000Mike.mdb'.  It is already opened exclusively...

Could I just delete the transaction log then run the backups? We run in simple mode...so the log never really gets backed up.

When I do what was suggested, I get the old "You can't rollback a transaction without a begin transaction" error...any more suggestions?
