    Check for Telnet <ServerName> <PortNumber> , it should be open.(Scree will go blank)

  • RE: SQL Server backup error. Operating system error 3(The system cannot find the path specified

    so the drive is mapped as you as you see it in explorer, the service account won't see that drive mapping.
    Mappings are per user not server wide

    There is a VERY good reason to not split tempdb into 8 files: you can CREATE IO slowness in doing so....
