According to the 2005 dtexec page, the /configfile switch should take precedence over the design-time configurations.

Logging in SSIS --> right-click on control flow on choose the conveniently named "Logging"
Changing column name --> you can do this in the Flat File Source

Euhm, about moving config data from one place to another:
I usually just script out the data from one environment using SSMS and then modify it slightly to put it on...

You need to set the RetainSameConnection property on the connection manager to TRUE.
edit: oh yeah, also make sure the temp table actually exists when you do the preview

Your question is a bit confusing: you want user input to start a scheduled job? That seems contradictory.
