    I'm getting a new Windows 7 desktop. From a powershell perspective, probably a good thing.

    But, I have a goodly number of Network Places mapped on my XP...

    Surely software at the end of the day is digital information so in principle it could be immortal if it can still run.

    If a software application is hard coded to use the "SA" account, you can rename it and then create a new account named "SA" with limited permissions....
