  • RE: A New Look

+1 on the width adjustment. Too much wasted white space.

Otherwise looks good! I do like the editorial at the top because that's the first thing I read.

  • RE: When did this DB property Change?

Good article. As you pointed out there are many ways to pull information and your method is just as valid as any other.

  • RE: Stairway to SQL Server Agent - Level 11: Maintenance Plan Jobs

Selecting "All Databases" or "All user databases" will backup any new databases automatically. I also recommend Hallengren's solutions but I just use the index maintenance. I feel that backups and...

  • RE: DTExec: The package execution returned DTSER_FAILURE (1).

Check the Windows event log to see if there are any backup error messages. Is this a custom built SSIS package or a maintenance package created in SSMS? ...

  • RE: Truncate rollback

Although this question probably should have stated it was for SQL2008 or used a UNION on the insert, it was still a solid question. I have no doubt that writing...

  • RE: Do You Want to Learn a Thing or Two?

When looking for SQL Server books, I usually only by from authors whom I've read about in forums, articles or blogs. There are so many DBA books with so...

  • RE: Replication

I did not answer the question because I did not fully understand it. After reading the explanation on what was meant I would have missed it any way. ...

  • RE: ^ : T-SQL

I got tripped up on the fact that the string didn't end with %. So I answered the question for 'Jo[^n]%' instead of 'Jo[^n]'. Oops.

    Add me to...
