You could create an alias on the client end that specified TCP/IP.
(in the CLICONFG I would add a Alias and add the Server Alias to be SERVERNAME and the
Connection Paramters...

Good point Gila...there is also on the default profile a way to increase the max bcp i believe it is this and increase the record sizes from the default incase...

Yes that is the network setup - if it runs that fast on the server it isnt doing any additiona hops through routers and network traffic. Ask the network...

There is one error out there on the latest patches that references transactional replication.
What service pack are you on ...we are on CU6 and not had these problems...i have had...

I thought there was a sql sever advisory tool.....i forget name of it...like windows you can see which patches need to be ran.
But your need to test out the SQL...

Look on the MS site and look up SQL Server patches should provide you the details..
Your have to probrably ask MS which ones are best for your system........
