Can someone post information on some real time troubleshooting situation that a SQl server DBA may face?
Aside from queries running slowly. I would like to find out so I can figure out the answer before going for myinterview.

That's a wide-open question
SQL not running
SQL running but no accepting connections
Database corruption
Backup failures
Drive failure (data file, log file or both)
User deleted data accidentally
Deadlocks
Query running yesterday, giving error today
... etc
If you read through the forums here, you'll find more real-life problems than you'll ever need.

if your going for interview be sure to ask yourself ...what happens when it crashes how can i get it back up because if this is your week on the job and the entire SQL goes down can you restore it..
If the answer you don't no then is this the right job for you.
After all the company is going to rely on you to get it back up in a timely fashion.

Be sure you know where and how to look for answers as well. You might get stumped, but it will help if you know how to find answers.
