    I was able to reinstall SQL 2000 client tools after my 2k5 upgrade. I had to use a different install path, but the install worked... And so did the tools.

    Try setting the RUN 64 BIT RUN TIME to FALSE on project properties in BIDS

    System dbs cannot be deleted via the method you listed. Actually, no db can be deleted with that method unless you take the database offline or stop the services. And...
