Log contents only have 214 rows . Majority of the operations are for LOP_MOFIFY_ROW etc . I have seen for LOP_SHRINK_NOOP.

It backups the other databases. I asked it not to ignore any , but still leaves out the one in the Availability Group? thank you

@michael-2 , No its not backing the Primary Up...It ignores it (Though I unchecked the option 'Ignore Databases that are Not Online')..I get the warming you mentioned above , but...

@Ant-Green Yes , Log backups are helping to have a control on the file size. Also, I had found some default trace was running , so stopped that too...Looks fine...

@Ant-Green Is this increase in the log-file size normal in Read-Scale ? The actual log-file size is just over 0.5 GB only. There are no drastic changes at the application...

I get the message "Ping Request Couldn't find Host <Listener>"...Its strange that this error is from the same server that hosts primary replica.The connections from SSMS are fine though.

The local firewalls on the servers are disabled as per the Admin. They are on AWS Cloud.I connect to the servers through VPN.

Got it resolved. The Infra team helped change the name resolution settings and replaced the 'servername.domainname' notation with only the servername.Thank you.

Hi Brian,
This works on the SQL server default port though. So , clearly some ports issue at the firewall. I can now connect to both the instances from my laptop.
