Are the posted questions getting worse?

47% getting my QotD correct today so far (361 attempts).

Any Threadizens going to help push it over 50%?

It will be interesting to see how the success rate changes once the answer goes out...

OK, 392 now and it's up to 48%.

A bit too easy, I thought. But was a clear question, didn't claim the wrong answer as the right one, and had no incorrect explanation, and I've stopped expecting QOTD to have all three of those attributes these days, so congratulations on that.

    edit: typo

Seriously? Have you tried many other QotDs? Or are you just claiming to be super-intelligent? 😛

I really thought the thread would surpass 14k today.

Probably will - though the definition of 'today' varies...;-)

That felt slightly like cheating 😀

    But congrats.

  • Not my job, but I did work in a nuclear plant where we had an old HP that used tape reels and had to load that up one time for some test. We also had an old 1MB Westinghouse HDD. The diameter on this thing was around 2ft or so and you could *see* is spin as they read data. It was the original control system for the nuclear rods handling the reaction.

Computers? On a nuclear power plant? Luxury.

We controlled the rods with a switch & some motors. No computing of any kind involved, except for calculators that we could use to determine the amount of criticality we were generating.
