Are the posted questions getting worse?

I actually now have to present what I think I should be doing. Anyone have a DBA Job description they want to share? 😉

I'm sure you bought your copy of MVP Deep Dives: I think chapter 24 by Brad McGehee is a good description of what a DBA should be doing.

Duh, I should have thought of that. Of course I have that book. Glad to see I'm not the only one in this situation.

That missing cert thread went crazy. I saw the notifications yesterday, but couldn't respond in meetings. There's no winning it, especially when there is someone that doesn't view the interpretation of their words as you do.

This thread seemed to go crazy as well. Killing my webmail while I'm out of town.

Yeah, I've been watching that thread, but not really commenting because you can't win. I'm just glad I'm not bitter like that.

  • I see what you mean (though Auckland seems to have moved a little since the last time I was there ;-)).

That's raised your carbon footprint for the year a bit.

Exactly my sentiments...well almost exactly. I deliberately didn't read the editorial when it came out, and would never have looked at the discussion if it hadn't been for Gail's link.

When I received it I saw it was shipped from Auckland, NZ!!! That's why it took so long!

Hey! Don't go blaming Auckland!:angry:

    (joke)

So Paul, you finished reading it and decided to let Gianluca have it finally? :hehe:

It couldn't have come from any further. See what I mean?

That's a fun map, guess for several of us "the other side of the world" is somewhere out to sea from Perth.

So much for Bugs Bunny coming out in China.

I'm happy to see there's somebody with the same literary interests as me 6372 Km below my feet...:-)

    Revenge of the Thread there.

Ha! Actually I'm just outside Wellington (the capital). There is some friendly rivalry with Auckland. Did I mention that Auckland is not the capital? 😉

Oh, and Gianluca, gravity does not descriminate - you are also below my feet 😀

  • Dixie, you collect on that one and I will be proud to tell folks that I am your evil twin!

Hey, I've got a couple free hours a week, Math skills that I haven't used in 30 years, and Wikipedia to get me caught up on the concepts. I mean, how hard could it be? 😉

  • Nice map site. I just had to check what was opposite from China and I see that I have been there. Some of the time I spent in Argentina would have been across the earth from parts of eastern China.

(Now there's another piece of useless trivia.) 😛

    Nice map site.

Oh I get it now! Sorry Gianluca.

My antipodal point turns out to be halfway between Madrid and Salmanca, in Spain. Interesting!

My antipodal is not too far from a place where I used to live. Mascarene Islands in the Indian Ocean. But the antipodal is in the middle of the Ocean - so I haven't been there.
