I need to pick one blog to tart up as once I've done it on one of them, the others will be easier.Steve,
I'd like to report Stefan's post because he's treating blogs like cheap dates. I bet you once he's done "tarting," he'll start pimping. What do you want to bet?
Well Excuse Me Brandie!!! What do you expect Steve to do about how Stefan treats his dates? 😛

Well, Excuse me back Alvin!!! I thought proper forum etiquette was to give quote-worthy examples when posting in response to other people's posts. Not vague references.
If I'm going to live vicariously through other people's experiences (why else do you think I post here?), details would be extremely helpful.

So Stefan should include the tart's name in his examples? 😀

Funny, that association never even occured to me. Probably should have, but since tarts = small pies in my brain that's what I associate this phrase with. Would you prefer if I substitute "fancify"? "Gild"? "Add complexity to"? "Renovate"? "Improve both with additional functionality and more individualized appearance"?
Feel free to jump in with your own.

So you were planning on throwing small pies at your blog? (and apparently had an underlying master plan of charging Brandie to throw pies at your blog?)

I've gone Stefan's route. To me categories or tags are a way of filtering down the content to specific areas. So the T-SQL posts on my blog. However if I want to write about my family, or my advice on resumes, I made a separate blog. I can cross post, but ultimately there are people that want to follow the blog who don't want to see posts on other things.
I have thought about those concerns. For me though, I decided to go with pages as well as categories. People can see at the top that there is a delineation between personal and professional. At least I hope so. I also thought that it would help people get a bigger picture about me from one source - me.

Question for those with their own websites.Do you recommend using WordPress?
I use wordpress for my blog. I like it - there is plenty of control over it as well as customization.

Not throw! What a waste of pie! I was planning on trying to make my blog as wonderful as small pies. Which is even funnier since one of the 6 blogs is a cooking blog and pies are the main things I make.
It would be wonderful if I could charge anyone anything for anything related to my blogging. However, since I think the largest % of readers of my blogs is me, I don't think that'll work.

One of the things I need to get around to is making a main page for my website that has links to all the blogs I'm hosting. I'm also hosting 2 blogs for a friend and may host some for other friends if they ever decide they want them.

I had never heard that association before this thread. I shall refrain from referencing the small pie in such manner - Brandie may assume something 😉

Very nice! Cryptic and implying just enough that we all think things you might have said anyway! Maybe we're accurate, maybe we're much worse. This way you get all the mischieviousness and none of the blame.
Kudos sir, kudos.

Don't assume that you may have thought worse - he implied much much worse.
