I could try to attach my whole SQL knowledge to that thread, it shouldn't exceed 3 Mb. 😛
That guy/gal is clearly over their head. I sure hope they're not running someone's production system with this level of knowledge.
Consultants! I've got your next gig lined up here.

Make sure you've got your kilts in order gentlemen. Kilt Wednesday at the PASS Summit is going to be a happenning event this year.First, not currently planning on attending PASS, can't afford it.
Yep it's not in a convenient or cheap to get to location for many of us 🙁
Still, means I save on a kilt.
Kinda sad though cos Jonathan Kehayias invited me to co-present with him at PASS, which would have been 😎
You guys could have done your twitter presentation 😉
I think they should have a twitter keynote, speaker walks out on stage, sits down and says nothing the entire time, just tweets. :hehe:

Maybe I should have written 3 Kb... 🙂
Lately I'm beginning to work with Oracle and I could measure my current knowledge in bytes

1TB database, 400 tran/sec (??), needs a maint plan for 0 data loss and max 1 hour downtime for restore.

This is a job for DBCC TIMEWARP.
I need a recovery plan that violates all known laws of physics. You have to love those. And aren't they frequently followed by "and we don't have any additional budget"?

That's a good one. It's the way I feel when reading a lot of the questions too.

I'm just a two-day drive from there and I have friends there I could stay with that would help with the cost of the hotel, just can't afford to go at the moment.
Submit a session. Worst that'll happen is they say no.
If they say yes, I still have to get there, and even staying with friends, may not be able to afford it.
I get it. There are just people, you're in the list, that I want to see there, that's all.
Fully understand, I do. There are people I would like to meet as well, including you.

And by the way, just passed 8000 points. #10 to do so.
Now I'll let Jason & Paul pass me.

And because I'm stupid, more than 7000 of them are from posts. I just don't answer that many questions right.

I don't answer QotD at all.
Every now and then, when I'm bored, I answer some questions. And usually got them wrong. 😛

Same here. There are people I want to meet, and PASS is one of the places I can do that.
