SQL Cruise competition, and the winner is …

,

Earlier this month SQL Cruise, (an initiative created by Tim Ford (B|T)) and Dell Software announced a competition to win a free place on the next SQL Cruise which is taking place on the 25th January 2014 in Miami, returning on 2nd February.

In between those dates the lucky winner will be able to experience the sights and sounds of these locations when we dock at the following ports:

  • Philipsburg, St Maarten
  • Basseterre, St. Kitts
  • St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
  • Nassau, Bahamas

Oh and there’s also the small matter of some awesome SQL Server training being presented by some of the communities best known presenters. You can read more about some of the sessions being presented and the presenters giving these sessions here. It promises to be a very special trip for one lucky person!

A quick recap

In order to enter you needed to have registered for the MSSQLTips webcast Are your SQL Servers Healthy?, which was presented by fellow Brit Derek Colley. To make sure that you’re the kind of person who is going to pay attention in class there was the stipulation that you must have watched the webcast live and in it’s entirety to be eligible. If you missed the webcast it was recorded and you can view it using the link above.

A few thank you’s

A big thank you first off to Tim for his vision in creating such an event, secondly to Dell Software for sponsoring this and other community events which enables it all to happen. Lest we forget MSSQLTips and Derek Colley for their critical part in hosting the competition. Thank you all!

Announcing the Dell Software SQL Cruise to the Caribbean Contest Winner:

And without further ado, the lucky winner is Patrick Keisler (B|T). Congratulations Patrick, I look forward to meeting you on the open seas in January!
