Sending Trevor love…

,

As some of you may be aware – fellow SQL family member, PASS Director, SQL Server MVP, founder of SQL Cruise and a good friend to many of us – Tim Ford – has a young son Trevor Ford who was recently diagnosed with a rare allergic drug reaction called Steven-Johnsons syndrome. Trevor has been in ICU for 2 and a half weeks almost, suffering severe third degree burn like injuries on his skin, high fevers and migraine headaches. He has a tube down his throat to help with nutrition since his injuries make it very painful to swallow food or water. For those of us who know Tim and his family, via SQL Cruise or otherwise – we know Trevor to be a very special child. Kind, funny, stubborn, smart, everything one could wish for in a kid his age (he is 16). He is looking to understand as any kid that age would, why all this pain and suffering and when he will be over it. To help this child cope – we can send our love and understanding in small ways – whatever little way we choose to.

We are at the summit which makes it easier to do somethign like this. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday October 26th – ther will be a cardboard box like below at the community zone written ‘for Trevor Ford’. You can throw in whatever you feel like that will be of support, love and encouragement to him. Books, cards, little stuffed toys, a paper note with something you want to say – anything. The box will be around until Friday afternoon – when we will bundle up the contents for Dad to take home to Trevor. Please support this in whatever way you can.
