PASSMN January Meeting Update

,

4216663688_f7d22d524f_mThought I would drop a quick note on the January PASSMN meeting.  We’re running a bit behind getting things ramped up but ended up with a nearly full turnover of our Board of Directors.  We met in December to get things going for this year and talked about meetings, the state of the user group, and our SQL Saturday (maybe Friday event).

January Meeting

We had a couple things come up this month.  Instead of our regularly scheduled meeting on the third Tuesday of January we will be meeting on January 25th.  There is also a possible room change but all of this will become clear shortly.

The item that is definite is that the date has changed.  It’s also fairly definite that it’ll be cold this month and there will be snow.

Kalen’s In Town

The same week of our user group meeting, Kalen Delaney (Blog | @SQLQueen) will also be in town for a class over at Benchmark Learning.  If you are looking for some training on SQL Server architecture, internals and tuning that week then check out her class.  In her class she’ll talk about SQL Server architecture, the storage structures, index design and tuning, and much more.  There are still a few spots left for the class and it’s a great opportunity to get some instruction from one of the most knowledgeable trainers that I know.

Hopefully, we’ll have our full meeting announcement soon, but thought I could update those that read this blog and happen to join our meetings.
