PASS Regional Mentor

, 2011-08-30

Wow, how time flies by.  It seems like just a month ago I was made the PASS Regional Mentor for South Central US and now I have given up that position to join Jorge and Adam as Regional Mentors for South East US.  Being I live in GA, it is much easier for me to attend SQL Saturdays in the South East as well as attend regional User Group meetings.  I was very excited when Karla called to ask me about taking on this new role.  I have already been in contact with Jorge and Adam and the distribution of the User Groups is underway.  Things are changing within the support infrastructure for PASS and I am glad to be a part of it.

Speaking at Community Events - More Thoughts

Last week I posted Speaking at Community Events - Time to Raise the Bar?, a first cut at talking about to what degree we should require experience for speakers at events like SQLSaturday as well as when it might be appropriate to add additional focus/limitations on the presentations that are accepted. I've got a few more thoughts on the topic this week, and I look forward to your comments.
