Yes, it is. As I mentioned a few months back, it is important to pay attention to when Microsoft releases Cumulative Updates for SQL Server.
This past week, on Tuesday, Microsoft release an update to SQL Server 2008:
If you haven’t, take the time to get it downloaded and start testing it in your SQL Server environment. Some other cumulative updates to consider if you haven’t already:
- Cumulative update package 11 for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3
- Cumulative update package 10 for SQL Server 2008 RTM
- Cumulative Update package 3 for SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM
