Recently, I got a chance to read ebook on SQL Server Statistics By Holger Schmeling. A must read book for both Developers and DBAs.

Thought of sharing my learninng with CSSUG group  members. 

I gave two presentations today. Idea was to first introduce Heaps, Indexes and Execution Plans.

Completed my first session with a curious question. "How Query Optimizer knows expected number of records and choose best possible execution  plan operators even before running the query".,

That leaded to my second presentatin on "Statistics". My thought worked well.
