Book Review: Let’s Create (for children)

,

Let's Create!I’m fond of browsing the discount shelf at the bookstore, it’s another way to see books that I might otherwise miss, tending to spend my time around the business and computer section. I found Let’s Create for a mere $2.99 and decided to get it, nothing makes for good family time as much as making a few things. The projects are divided into four categories; plastic, cardboard, cloth, and clay. The first one we tried was card board shoes, a good reason to have the kids standing on the dining room table to get their feet traced. If the wording on the shoes looks mildly familiar – it should! It’s from a USPS shipping box, the only cardboard I had handy. The straps across the top are the self adhesive edge of the envelope cut down the middle and looped around to be stuck to the bottom using that very adhesive (my own tweak, the book uses a glue stick).

Getting one project was worth the $2.99, and I think we’ll make more this week. It’s available on Amazon for $5.99, but check the local bookstore first!
