Thom's first article discusses the difficulties you encounter when your database doesn't support cascading deletes (or you've opted not to use it) and you need to delete data in a child table based upon a value in the parent table. We have this code that sets some status values and then queries them using the CHOOSE() function in SQL Server 2025.
