Did you get any of the scripts from Chad's article working? Those show you how to connect to SQL Server and run something.
From there, you might look over this...

I would think that you aren't under memory pressure, but you'd have to look at more than this. Check target server memory, check the disk activity for how pressured it...

How did you convert it over? just an insert?
This looks like binary data. Maybe a cast( as nvarchar)?
