There are MYSQL links there, but not SQL Server that I see. I would not consider those PHP tutorials the place to learn about SQL Server.

I agree with Jason. No reason to shrink if you're going to need the space the next week.

Don't know enough about that product, but there definitely could be some better security controls and auditing improvements in SQL Server.

SSIS will work, though it's more programming.

Are you using varchar(max) as the table field type?

I'd agree with Grant. No reason for this much memory to be used. Even if it's taken and then not released, it's an issue.

You get double points for helping that individual.

You need to decide what you want to capture. Then create a table store the info. (user, time, table, etc.)
