Partitions are great, but you have to running the Enterprise Edition to use them. So, with that, are you running SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition?

If you run that procedure from SSMS, you will only get one result set.
The second result set is being generated by something between your application and SQL Server.

Do you mean you have a date/time column or a timestamp (aka rowversion) column?

so far we can configure in sql server to send the alert in mail. Configure the mail in your mobile and problem solved...

if you know table name then try sp_help tablename.then you will get all the details you want for that perticualr table....
A handy shortcut is to highlight the table name...
