We have a sharepoint database server and the monitoring tool often sends an alert "a process is been deadlock victim". I would like to trace what process and the root cause of the same. Someone please guide me how to troubleshoot this issue.

Do you get them while building the search indexes?

Not builing search indexes and also not sure what causing the issue. We get an alert from the monitoring tool scom, even sharepoint team is not able to give enough clue on it.
