Maybe you can check if sqlservr.exe is installed in Program Files or in "Program Files (x86)". (assuming the server itself is 64-bit)

This certification doesn't really "expire". You can keep putting it on your resume.
I think they mean there won't be any exams for 70-448 anymore after July 2013.
