The correct answer should be "It Depends" on which version of SQL Server you have. IIRC, this is a 2019 feature and it hasn't yet been RTM'd yet, has it?

btw... the execution plan isn't showing "100K" rows... it's show 1.2 MILLION rows! Are you sure that you don't have an accidental many-to-many join going on here in the form...

I agree that even if you could easily limit the size of tables, you shouldn't. And looking for things after the event won't necessarily help a thing and manually monitoring...
