Yes, I can re-jigger the trace to use the DB ID.
I'll also look into setting this up with Extended Events, instead.

Despite being something of a virtualization fanatic myself, if the application Vendor won't support their app if the SQL is virtualized, stick to your guns.

2. Shrink the file
3. Rebuild the Clustered Index
4. Compress and rebuild the non-clustered indexes
