    Yes the string length in the messages tab is 4000 characters. And the variable length is 48,893. Are you seeing something different in the messages tab?

    In my test Environment with 4 cores, 32 GB and SSD the elapsed times were:

    dbo.GUID: 1.45 seconds

    dbo.Identity: 5.32 seconds

    dbo.heap: 3,98 seconds

    NO OTHER USER PROCESSES WHERE ACTIVE ON SQL...
