    If you have the driver correctly installed, then the error is most likey to be from not having the correct filename and/or path in the openrowset command.

    Triggers are not the right tool to use to prevent SQL injection. By the time the code has fired off a trigger, it's WAY too late to be preventing...

    SQL 2005 has a default trace running that tracks that kind of change (and other DDL commands). You might find what you're looking for in there.

    There are several third party tools for debugging T-SQL.

    Management Studio for SQL 2008 includes some debugging tools built in.

    I generally just use raiserror, select, print, etc., at various points throughout...

    Denormalization is deliberately breaking normal forms, usually for report performance.

    The usual process is to take normalized data from multiple tables and eliminate the joins between them by putting the data...
