Regular full backups mark the database and secondary databases are read only.

Just a suggestion, don't use the GUI. Microsoft has a new command line utility that does a pretty good job.

You'll have to test this with realistic data to answer the question for yourself. If you have very small files and very few transactions with them, it probably won't affect...
