Depends.Are those indexes enforcing uniqueness?
Does the period over which those have been tracked cover an entire business cycle (including month end and year end if applicable)?

Note to self: Turn off actual execution plan option before running a million counter loop.Oh WHY?, doesn't it crashe somewhere :-D.

While temp tables in the Sybase/SQL Server model can be indexed, constrained, etc. nobody does.Speak for yourself. I do and I know others who do.
